I loved how Steve tried to understate his bond with Danny but his worry and concern just can't be denied.

And really, I'll bet Steve will fill out the Change of Emergency contact info for Danny :)

And Steve watches Danny, who’s watching him back, and they don’t have words, not a single word between the two of them for what it is that they’re staring through, that’s clouding the view from either side;

Ooooh, that's beautiful. This was lovely, start to finish, but the ending really packed a punch. I love them SO MUCH. Thank you for this!
