"It's almost one o clock, and my parents got in an hour ago. I just missed them, and now they're asleep. The feeling of excitement I get, knowing that tomorrow I'm going to wake up and hang out with my parents, reminds me of Christmas eve from when I was little. Which made me wonder briefly if I'm "clinging to my childhood" or some psychological nonsense like that. And the answer is yes, of course; but on another note, I really like my parents."

word!!! i get exactly the same way. the more time i spend away from my parents, the more obsessed with them i am. i'm just really into them, close to them and think they're wonderful people. it's kind of pathetic...i think my friends are sick of hearing about them.
