Sherlock was tucked away in his chair, watching telly. It's not a hobby he normally took up, but there was a special on about obscure medical conditions and the procedures with which to get rid of them, and, really, how could he pass it up.

When John arrived home, Sherlock didn't even glance up. He knew already that John had stopped at the grocery. It was much later than it should be for him to be home, and he heard the rustle of bags upon the door being opened. Of course John would go out of his way to get precisely what Sherlock wanted.

The detective could so very easily get used to this.

"I think we ought to get Mycroft in for a check-up. I'm dying to know his real weight."

John rolled his eyes at the comment, muttering out, "Thanks for getting up to help." And dropped the bags down on the kitchen counter, the table having been covered by Sherlock's assortment of beakers and glass tubes filled with multi-colored liquids. He had told Sherlock to clean it off three days ago - it looked like there was even more stuff on by now.

He sighed as he looked through the mail and saw only more bills that needed to be paid soon.

As he unloaded the groceries from their bags, "Mycroft has his own doctor he goes to. There's no reason for him to come to my clinic."

"You're a capable man."

Meaning that Sherlock had no reason to help. John was the one who wanted him to eat, John could facilitate it.

"Fetch me some tea while you're at it, would you?"

John ended up slamming one cabinet door a little too hard. "You're a capable man."

Meaning Sherlock could get his own tea if John was expected to make dinner after working all day.
