[It's not that Draco really meant to broadcast it to the journals, but he needed a piece of paper to write on. It's late at night, but anybody looking will probably see his notes.]

[Dinner is done, and Myuria hasn't seen Draco around for a while. Since she doesn't have much else to do, she's heading out to the lake to check.]

I thought I might find you out here.

[He barely turns his head, easily recognizing her voice and focusing on keeping his concentration]

I think it's becoming a trademark for me, actually.

[She strides over to him to take a look at what he's doing.]

Because you come out here so much?

[Draco probably looks a little bizarre with random things floating in the air next to him, and a broom about six inches off the ground]

Something like that, sure. Suppose I should start finding a new place to work for when I really get started on things.

[Oh, look, Malfoy. Here comes Sirius, out for a late stroll at night. He doesn't see you right away, as he's rather preoccupied, but that does not last for long.

Within a few minutes, Sirius realizes there are objects floating in the air, and also realizes who's bewitched them.]

Well, hello, Draco.

[Draco glances at Sirius out of the corner of his eye, nodding briefly] Sirius. [He turns back to one of the floating rocks for a moment before it suddenly clicks. Oh man, first of all this isn't something he really wanted to be seen doing and secondly, after the last experiment? Anything to do with any Gryffindor is awkward. Because of this, that rock drops drastically, though he manages to stop it before it hits the ground] Er. What are you doing out here?

[Sirius eyes the levitating rocks again briefly before turning his gaze back to Draco. Funny how he always ends up in the same general location as him. But perhaps they're more alike than he thought.

He manages a half smile, going back to watching the rock's progress.] I couldn't really sleep, and I thought going for a walk might help with that. Although it seems it won't be so easy as that.

Are you just practicing your magic, or is there another reason why you're out this late?

[On the bright side, Draco's not as defensive around Sirius. As far as he's concerned, Sirius isn't that much of a threat. However, he is still cautious around the older man. Even though they're related, it's strange how little Draco's bothered to learn about Sirius in the first place.

He nods in understanding at the first explanation. Been there, done that. However, with the question, he just tilts his head and flicks his wand to try and lift a different rock higher up.]

I suppose you could say it's a bit of both. It's not unusual here.

Well yes. What's wrong with that?

Manipulating graviton particles without the proper matrix is highly dangerous and can cause irreparable spacial distortions.

What the hell-

I'm not manipulating anything, it's just how magic works.

[After those weeks of a lot of sleep, she's developed a bit of insomnia because, really, too much sleeping.

So she's wondering around when she comes upon Draco.]

...are you trying to make a broomstick?

[Oh, it's Lily. Draco's not sure how he feels about her being there right now given what's happened over the past few weeks.]

That much is obvious, now isn't it?

[Too bad for Draco she's not going anywhere.]

I guess so. Looks like you're making pretty good progress. [Pokes one of the free floating objects.]

[There are a couple of inkspots, like she wanted and tried to write something, but couldn't quite get it out.]

...Can we talk?

[There are a few splotches that appear on the page, a sign that he's just tapping his writing utensil on the page for a few moments.]

What is it?

Make it fast, I'm working.
