And this, Draco, is why you don't make friends. People. Always. Leave.

I do believe I've suddenly become less of an Englishman this way, but coffee has become a bit of a vice. Far more bitter than most tea, but the effects are far greater. ...a year and a half later, and I'm talking about beverages. Honestly.New Feathers? Good luck surviving here ( Read more... )

Coffee is vile. I consider this a personal betrayal.

Yes, well, I consider you a personal betrayal. [...Draco what does that even mean.]

Oh, how you wound. I may never recover.

It's really not that terrible if you ask me. Bitter and strong, maybe, but not entirely terrible.

Coffee is so much better than tea.

[He does this at home too, so he can't exactly blame it on Luceti.]

I've never really understood why people prefer coffee to tea. Tea's much easier to swallow. Have you even had tea?

Yes, it's vile.

How can you think tea is vile?

I happen to know a Welshman who makes a very good cup of coffee. And I'd argue it's just as good, anyday.

[Jack slides into the seat next to him. Long time no see, Draco.]

[Sup Captain. Draco's just going to glance up and shrug.] It's not as though it's incredibly complicated to make in the first place, is it?

[He chuckles and shakes his head.] Don't let Ianto hear you say that. He'd give you a dissertation on how complicated it is. Hell, he got his job with Torchwood partially because he can make good coffee.

[Jack leans on the bar, eying Draco thoughtfully.] But I'm betting it's not just coffee on your mind. Who was it?

I really can't be arsed to care for a dissertation, unfortunately. Though that's slightly impressive...unless his job was merely to be a barista.

[Give him a few moments, he's going to stall first by stirring a spoon around in his coffee and then by staring at the ceiling. This is clearly a harder question than he anticipated answering.] A girl I know, if you really want to know. Someone from my own world.

Lovely to hear from you as well, Tsuzuki. Tell me, are you always one to be so nosy as to bypass all manners and get to the point? [Why yes I am stalling, thanks for noticing.]

Well, yes. I thought you knew that by now, Draco.

I may have, but I try not to really give a damn about you.

I suppose I should tell you. I doubt the DA will be meeting for a while.
