Sarah Jane is unsurprisingly startled when a small ginger cat comes rushing inside before she closes the door. She had seen it while walking up to the house; the tabby had been hard to miss with the way it had been poking its head over the stoop

He is home. He is reading a book. He was relaxed until Sarah Jane called out his name. He closes the book, rising to his feet and walking quickly to the front door, curious to see what Sarah Jane's latest emergency is.

"Yes?"

Sarah is grumpily staring down at the cat when James walks in. She's had a long day at work, having to stay overtime to get an article done. And while generally she likes animals, she doesn't like the way this cat is looking at her now.

"I believe," she responds, looking upward for a moment, "we have a problem."

[callitavesper]

"We do?"

He looks down to the cat. Huh. How'd that get in here? Must've snuck in.

He looks back up to Sarah Jane, wondering what the problem is.

Sarah Jane raises an eyebrow at James.

"It won't listen to me."

As if to prove a point, the cat simply wanders over to James and begins to rub its back against his legs.
