A man driving a cinema organ at speed

In the future, hand-based foodstuffs (big sarnies, complex baguettes, tiresome burgers) will come with a small field-generator to ensure structural integrity and no sauce/dressing leakage.

When people say that they're about to sally forth and brave the elements, which elements do they mean? Sulphur? A nasty patch of low-lying Vanadium?

That molybendium can be treacherous, I can tell you!

What do they mean by 'sally forth', that's what I want to know? Who's Sally, and why does she keep ending up in these situations?

She sounds like the sort of brave lass that a chap would be pleased to have as a friend.

She should be a character in one of Mark Gatiss's Lucifer Box novels. It's just his level of appalling pun - Miss Sally Forth.

Good plan with the sarnies ... I can see the OK Diner really having a need for that for their rather delicious chilli cheeseburgers ...

Element of the day here is helium - great pools of it lying around outside.

I think I saw a penguin hanging off the bird feeder.

Penguin? Perhaps some Linux zealots are about to make you an offer with a licence you can't refuse.

I always figured they were talking about:
1) oxygen and hydrogen falling at terminal velocity or
2) large quantities of nitrogen, oxygen and trace amounts of others in gaseous form being driven from one place to another by a combination of pressure differentials and the coriolis effect.

But maybe that's just me...

You and your crazy talking-type theories. That's just sick and wrong.
