ISTR Vague did something about Doktors of Insanity in about '88 or '89 and there would have been stacks of them in Compendium (RIP)

Quite possibly and quite possibly.

I think I bought a number of Vagues at one or other of the Billy Bragg or Fall gigs that were in Cheltenham and/or Gloucester, so the timing fits.
