Bother. I had some idea or other for a poll that would utterly confuse more or less everyone. I had the entire thing gurgling away in my head while I steamed to work this AM, but then I realised that I couldn't feel my toes and that was the end of that bright idea

I find that your bog-standard lithium grease works well on cleat bolts. Also, the assorted chuddy[1] that they accumulate after a few weeks of use helps keep it all together.

[1] Is there an activity more unpleasant than picking out chewing-gum from a cleat? Probably, but I don't want to experience that either.

You could do something like I did when I ran a couple of years on lyric quotes from one band or another.
