Did I not see a patch of garages at the bottom of your communal garden, or are those on a spectacularly long waiting list and thus filled with Austin A40s, 998 Coopers and the strategic reserve of UNIT SI Landies?
When I say 'shed' I mean 'clear patch amid the piles of dead computers, bits of wood that will come in handy one day and part-dismembered bicycles in the garage.'
It's not a cottage, but it's quiet, has a view of the Buddleia and is thus far distraction-free.
Other than the MTB wanting new wheel bearings. Bugger.
If I ever get around to needing to write a book dedication, I shall take as my template the sleevenotes for 'No sleep 'til Hammersmith'. (Or maybe it was Ace of Spades. The one with the 'Lying down by the fire/getting up by closing time' line)

There are actually a few very classic motors under tarps down there, alas - none of them are mine
