I felt a bit of disappointment. either I read it half-heartedly (sorry if I did, I don't normally read f/f couples) and missed some vital points, or you just threw some very important information just at the end that should've been built into the story .. and finished the story very abruptly with the information that you've just presented. hm? it was an alright drama/angst kind of piece, though. I liked the tension and even though this kind of piece only focuses on only one thing and gives you the feeling all the school was a horrible place and I could imagine dark corridors and glaring people.. etc, it was ok. was it rated R because of the dark atmosphere and cody's poor body haha?
What says nonchalance more than half-assing a gesture that literally means you don't care? omg perfect TT
And Amber sits there, begrudgingly inching into Suzy's world, watches closely as the strands of Suzy's hair slide from the tuck behind her ear because she constantly rakes her fingers from forehead to nape. i really like how little effort amber has to put in through all of this, she literally just gets sucked in because suzy doesn't leave her any choice (not that she minds)
Suzy talks with her hands, reads with emotions playing in her eyes, gasps dramatically at plot twists she has read before.
In the following weeks, Amber has learned that Suzy is only willing to die for two things: Peanut butter and poetry. this is the first time i've read a characterization for suzy, and i love it - she's so complex, but in a way that doesn't read complex at all? she's really easy to love, but in a way that lets you know that it's gonna hurt later on
Amber gradually realizes that maybe, just maybe, she's the tail that Suzy likes to wear
