NO MORE TV

We finally went through with it. We've been talking about getting rid of the TV for years and last week we did. I even put the record player in its place so we're not tempted to get a replacement. We've been going out more, listening to more music, and wasting MUCH less time. I actually watched shows like "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "Friends"

yay for no tv! i don't have one in portland either but i just as easily get addicted to the tv shows i rent on dvd and watch on my laptop.
also, the miami book fair is amaaaaazing. i'm so jealous that you went. and i'm kinda jealous that you live in miami now too.
and where are you teaching in miami beach? is it going ok? i've thought about doing that for a while.
