I love the kitchen! And leave it to Freya to take a cooking lesson in those long lacey sleeves. She's lucky she didn't set herself on fire! And I hope Shigure got the lesson off the inside of the oven. :)

O_o The health and safety issues involving Elda's sleeves didn't even occur to me! I need to watch out for that!

Doh! Elda, I mean. My apologies to both girls! Sheesh, having a brain freeze, apparently.

Thanx Charlie! I was a bit unsure at first but then thought 'wot the heck' and went for it XD. We got it from a uk online toy store - can't remember which one as it was just after xmas but it's the 'Casdon' range and Amazon uk stocks it. They're so cooool - they each have special sound effects too!

The furniture is gorgeous! Looks like real furniture in miniature, where did you find it?? It's really amazing ♥
Do you live with your sister or does she live somewhere near you? I wish my sister would play dolls with me :( We both want to have Blythes but she lives far from me so the dolls would feel lonely :(
I like the idea of 'communal kitchen', it's great to see all of these dolls together

I'm really lucky as my sister and her family built an extension onto the side of our house! There's no connecting doors so it's like she is literally 'next door' I just have to pop out of my back door and nip round to hers!

I saw the washing machine in a department store and was struck by the fact that it was pretty spot-on scale wise for 1/3. Then I decided to shop around and found they did sink/dishwasher and cooker and that was it! I decided to get a dollfie kitchen! ^__^

I read your story to my girls. They begged me to ask you where you got the kitchen appliances and accessories. If your willing to share your secrets, they would be grateful.

Sure thing Susan! ^___^ Glad your girls like it! It's all toy furniture for children's role play and all the three pieces of furniture are of the Casdon range. I found the washing machine in a department store we have here in the uk called Beatties, realised the size was 1/3 and then searched on-line. Amazon uk stock it - I don't know about the u.s. though it would be worth looking I'm sure. They are listed as Electronic sink unit, Hotpoint Electronic Cooker and Hotpoint Electronic Washer. Most of the accessories you can see on display come with the furniture - it was great. I also bougt some of the play food from a store called 'The Early Learning Centre' I don't know if you have these in the u.s.? They also have a realistic and great scale line of fridge, cooker and washing machine that I nearly went with that are a little cheaper. I hope this helps.

Thanks! that's a great start. The prices are within the girls' abilities (I'll have to check shipping though). We might be able to find something similar locally, now that we know they exist :-)
