The Bouquet Chapters 18&19
Title: The Bouquet 18&19/ 23Rating: PG, nothing too bad. Angst... but I will include fluff later on :)

Note: I decided to take a new approach than what I usually do and write this Ohmiya fic in it’s own timeline without them being famous. Think of this story taking place in the late 50s or so...
I did base this story off of one of my favourite pictures of them (which I’ll post at the end of the story ^_^)Please enjoy!

Chapter Eighteen
Ohno looked through everything, trying his hardest everyday to remember things, often driving himself to tears in frustration when he couldn’t remember something.
And, he was starting to miss Nino. All the dreams had stirred up a lost longing that Ohno never knew he felt.
Ohno picked up his ring and slipped it on his finger, his brows drawn together tightly.
He couldn’t remember anything about this ring...
He remembered that Nino and him were indeed married at one time and that no one seemed to mind because... well, they all suspected it anyway.
Ohno sighed and sleepily looked at the clock next to him.
In one hour... one hour he would finally see Nino again after one week of isolation.
What would he do? Would it finally all make sense to Ohno?
Nino slowly got dressed today, he was feeling rather sluggish and weak lately.
Maybe because he hadn’t seen Ohno in awhile?
Sure it was pathetic that he could barely function without Ohno... but Nino didn’t care.
As he calmly sipped his tea, Nino looked out his window in deep thought.
Would Ohno finally see him today? What did he remember?
Would Ohno even come see him at all?
Ohno waited nervously against the stair railing like usual.
It was odd now to stand here... this time, Ohno knew who he was waiting for and who the man was to him.
He drummed his fingers against the wall, waiting, waiting...
Then he saw him.
Nino met Ohno’s eyes and smiled... finally he was there.
"Ninomiya-san, I tried to remember everything and I remembered a lot of things..." Ohno said breathlessly and a little pale.
Nino looked at him strangely... something... was off.
Something was missing.
"Satoshi... what’s wrong?" Nino asked worriedly, grabbing Ohno’s hands quickly.
Ohno’s eyes filled with tears and his bottom lip began to tremble again.
He dropped his eyes to the ground and shook his head.
"I tried to remember..." Ohno sobbed into Nino’s shoulder.
Nino dropped his briefcase to the ground and wrapped his arms tightly around the sobbing Ohno.
Nino listened quietly to Ohno’s muffled apologies and finally knew what was wrong.
Ohno knew who he was, he knew they were once together.
They were childhood friends...
Nino closed his eyes as tears streamed down his face and tightened the hug on Ohno.
Ohno couldn’t remember their love.
The unbreakable love that the two had shared...
"Toshi, you’re so worried about our feelings going away! You know they won’t."
"But if they do... I want you to always remember how unbreakable we are, okay?"
Chapter Nineteen
Ohno felt horrible... he had made Nino cry again.
Even though Nino had told Ohno over and over how it was okay and everything will be back to normal soon... Ohno felt helpless.
He wasn’t trying hard enough for Nino, his most precious friend.
Ohno was following Nino quietly... following him to the shrine that he went to everyday.
He wanted to see what Nino prayed for... what he said about him.
Ohno tiptoed to the brick wall and slowly peeked around it.
He spotted Nino on his knees, his back towards Ohno.
Ohno had to listen quietly to what he was whispering.
"...Satoshi, bring back the love... I can’t live without him anymore... just seeing him helps me get by... put an end to it."
Ohno had tears running down his face again and he slid down the opposite side of the wall, out of Nino’s view.
Nino wanted everything to go away... if he couldn’t bring back Ohno, he didn’t want to live. Of course, this is what Ohno had thought Nino meant.
These words broke Ohno’s heart.
He was trying so hard for Nino, but it wasn’t enough.
Ohno stiffened at the sound of Nino standing up and walking away, his shoes crunching under the pebbled street and fading away.
Ohno needed to do something, anything in his power to remember his love for Nino.
Making sure Nino was out of sight, Ohno ran down the pebbled road and ran towards to where the pond was, not far away from his house.
Ohno stumbled to a stop on the dirt road before continuing up a side path lined with thick trees and grass.
Making his way into the clearing, Ohno doubled over, catching his breath and wiping the sweat from his face.
He looked around at the still, sparkling pond and gasped for breath.
He sat down under a tree where he and Nino used to sit, waiting for something to come back to his clouded memory.
A cool breeze blew into the clearing, making the leaves above Ohno shutter and causing ripples in the water.
Ohno waited patiently for several minutes... he paced the side of the pond slowly... he looked up at the sky and felt his lip tremble.
He couldn’t remember anything. Ohno’s eyes filled with tears and he slowly sank to his knees by the pond, letting his tears fall freely to the lush grass beneath him.
"I want to remember..." Ohno sobbed into the grass, his nails digging into the earth.
Ohno remained by the pond until his eyes were swollen and the sun gave way to the cool air of the Spring night.
Ohno was out of tears as he dragged himself home, slowly up the sidewalk.
He paused as he passed the shrine... he had nothing to lose.
Ohno patted his pockets, but he had no money to give. Then, his ring glimmered in the sunset and Ohno slowly twisted it off his finger.
He would give anything to love Nino again.
Ohno bowed his head and swallowed nervously as he closed his eyes.
"I’m lost without him..."
***aw, ohno :( he remembers nino... but he doesn't quite love him again yet...
alright.. so we're down to the last four chapters! chapters 20 and 21 have a little more ohmiya action ;D and a mysterious visit..
