Title: The Bouquet 16&17/ 23Rating: PG, nothing too bad. Angst... but I will include fluff later on :)
Pairing: Ohmiya
Disclaimer: I do not own Arashi yet... but we all have our dreams, right?
Note: I decided to take a new approach than what I usually do and write this Ohmiya fic in it’s own timeline without them being famous. Think of this story taking place in the late 50s or so...
I did base this story off of one of my favourite pictures of them (which I’ll post at the end of the story ^_^)Please enjoy!

Flashbacks are in italics :)

Chapter Sixteen

Nino didn’t expect to see Ohno today, not after the request he had made to Nino at the hospital a few days ago.

Ohno wanted to see everything Nino had of their time together.

Photo books that Nino was looking at a few nights ago, letters they had passed to each other during school, drawings, journal entries...

Ohno even wanted his ring back.

Of course, Nino didn’t have a problem with handing over all his stuff... but in exchange, he would have to give up seeing Ohno for awhile.

Ohno had promised Nino that he wouldn’t come out of the house until he remembered everything.

Nino was very skeptical at first, but seeing the pure determination in Ohnos eyes, he finally gave in.

Nino walked quickly down the road this morning, a little more cheerful than ever before.

He had brought extra money for the shrine today.

He rounded the corner at the end of the road and slowed his pace when approaching the small shrine.

When he closed his eyes after his usual routine, Nino was completely in his own world.

Instead of his usual prayer for Ohno to somehow remember everything, Nino replaced it with a very deep and sincere thank you.

His mind then wandered to the thought if he had ever been to this shrine with dry eyes before...

Nino smiled to himself and sighed. At last, there was a ray of hope for him.

Ohno sat on the floor in his room, scanning over pictures of him and Nino and reading the letters they had sent each other.

Suddenly, as he was looking over a picture of their fort, Ohno remembered something...

The time when he tried to hint his feelings towards the oblivious and young Nino.

"I got stuck on the way in here... maybe we need a bigger one?" Ohno asked Nino, who was already sitting inside the fort.

Nino shrugged and looked around.

"Not yet... I think it’s cozy." Nino smirked. Ohno pouted in the corner and tried to dust off his school uniform pants.

"Kazu, you know it’s my birthday in a few weeks... I’m going to be seventeen." Ohno said, hinting for a gift.

"Oh, right. You’re getting old... What do you want?" Nino asked casually, leaning back against the wall. Ohno shrugged and smiled at Nino.

"I’m not going to tell you." Ohno teased. Nino scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"Well, I can’t get you a girl, so change your mind." Nino mumbled.

"I don’t want a girl, Kazu!" Ohno exclaimed worriedly. Nino opened one eye and looked at him strangely.

"You don’t have to freak out..." Nino grumbled, moving towards the exit of the fort.

"Where are you going?" Ohno asked, worried that he might have made Nino angry again.

Nino looked back and smirked at the panicked Ohno.

"To find you a present."

Chapter Seventeen

Ohno often passed out while reading letters and journal entries, but he never failed to remember something about Nino.

He had one dream that finally put his mind to rest about the familiar paintings of the ponds and fields that he would often paint.

"I’d rather be doing something else, Toshi..." Nino grumbled as he sat next to the idle fishing pole in front of the pond.

Ohno patted his leg softly and smiled.

"I know you would... but we could always do that later..." Ohno said absentmindedly as he adjusted the fishing rod.

Nino’s lips curled into a devilish smile.

"Ohh, what did you think I meant? Because... I wasn’t thinking about anything dirty." Nino said quietly.

Ohno looked over to Nino and instantly knew what that smile meant.

"What could we do later?" Nino asked in a purposely, husky voice. Ohno, who always failed at throwing off Nino’s advances, swallowed nervously and knew he was trapped.

"I... I don't know... I wasn’t thinking about that..." Ohno mumbled as he found himself trapped by Nino’s arms as he crawled on top of him.

Nino laughed at Ohno’s flushed cheeks and kissed him softly.

"I think it’s much more interesting than fishing." Nino purred.

Ohno thought about that for a moment... he hoped he never had to choose...

Ohno planted his hands firmly on the ground behind him, to avoid being pushed down by the ever so eager Nino.

"But, but we can’t..." Ohno whispered, as Nino continued to kiss his neck softly.

"Why not? We did it here before." Nino whispered back, raising his eyes to Ohno’s.

"You might scare off the fish, Kazu..."

"Me?"

"...you’re loud..." Ohno said shyly, dropping his eyes to the ground. Nino pulled away and sat back on the grass.

"Gomen... but I promised kaa-chan I’d get fish for dinner..." Ohno mumbled. Nino looked over to Ohno and pouted angrily.

"Fine. But when my parents leave tomorrow-"

"I know... I owe you." Ohno finished Nino’s sentence. Nino laughed quietly and gazed at Ohno adoringly.

"Satoshi?"

"Hm..."

"...I love you."

"... what?"

"You didn’t hear me!?"

"No, I did, I just didn’t pay attention..."

"Then what’d I say?"

"...."

"Satoshi! You didn’t hear me?"

"....say it again, I’ll listen this time, Kazu."

"I said I love you."

"... I love you too."
