After all the crazy wank and arguments and ship wars that have gone on in DW fandom, and despite the fact that I know a lot of people will still be very vocal in their negative opinion concerning recent S4 spoilers, I just wanted to say that, watching the rest of you on my flist and the few comms I do visit - I love how happy fandom can make people ( Read more... )

I'll put them up as soon as I get them developed. =) I'm afraid my camera skills haven't yet been dragged into the 21st century, so I'm still using film.

;) In all fairness it took me for freaking ever to update to digital. I still pull out my 35mm SLR ... because film can be fun. :3

Mm, I agree. Fandom is great when it makes people happy, but when they're arguing I think people need to remember it is just a TV show.

I totally agree with your comment on how happy fandom can make people, and how it really draws us together. I was lucky - I missed how on the entire S3 crap 'cause I hid from fandom for a year or so, not wanting to have anything to do with it without Rose. But i've experienced the aftermath of it all, and a few people who can be a bit... obsessive enthusiastic about their love for Martha. But the rest of the time, it really is lovely to be a fangirl! We can all dance and squee in our shared love for a sci-fi show, where an alien travels through space in a blue box with a 19yr old peroxide-blonde shopgirl, who is the coolest person i know (joint with my heroine of cause :P)

Exactly! Awww, i feel so loved though! But you HAVE to come down and visit this summer! Cause cause we can go and see the Powell Estate! *remembers conversation about dressing up as chavs* bagsy the baseball cap :P You know, after S4, there may be even more filming locations! Or we might be able to stand on some pavement somewhere, and be like, "THIS IS WHERE THEY KISSED!" Sod Cardiff, London rules. OK, Cardiff rules too :P
