This story is just so perfect, coming after Utopia. I love the idea of Rose seeing Martha and the Doctor, and working through all the emotions that prompts, and as always, putting the Doctor before herself. [sigh] I miss Rose, always, and this story reminded me why once again.

*sniffles* This was just a beautiful piece. I also enjoy the idea of Rose getting to meet Martha and also having to deal with the knowledge that she won't have forever with the Doctor. Rose's initial moments and thoughts after realizing this were spot on in terms of characterization. I love the simple examples Rose gave Martha as a way of cheering up the Doctor.

I love the fact that, above all else, Rose wants to make sure that the Doctor is happy. Especially after having only seen a couple of minutes of this new version with a new companion.

The ending was also beautifully done and very important for Martha, in my opinion anyway, because it allows her to see what Rose meant to the Doctor and why he is the way he is and acts.

Look after him for me.

She couldn’t be Rose. She didn’t want to try. But she could do that.

Love that last line! Thanks for this great story. I love them all!

Oh, you just broke my heart. Seriously, I'm in tears over here - damn you. ;)

This was so good I can't even pick out a favourite part - when Rose first realises that the Doctor lost her, when she approaches Martha, Martha's realisation, Rose ducking back to her Doctor and just... appreciating him. And then, with the trinket (which I'm not even going to try and spell, heh) for Jackie making me realise just how close to the end this is... oh, God. Just... devastating and beautiful and thank you for sharing.

awwwwwwww. poor Doctor. poor Rose. poor Martha. I feel sorry for all of them in this story. None of them are gonna get a happy ending.
