Painting Wood Baseboards & Trim

Hear me out! I am usually against painting wood, especially since our house is almost 100 years old and beautiful. BUT 80% of the trim was painted by previous owners. Only the two front rooms are unpainted. For resale's sake (and my everything has to match sanity) should I paint the trim in the two front rooms? Especially if you're selling soon, do not paint the built-ins! They're gorgeous.

I just moved out of a 100 year old blue collar craftsman. I can imagine your house easily. The living room and dining room are the reception rooms. That's why they are fancier and don't have painted baseboards.

No no no! Don't paint it! People usually buy those types of homes to restore!

we had to make the same choice - but in some rooms they just painted the baseboards brown to match the wood.....since you have the built ins I would not paint it.
