I jokingly told my mother that I would marry a total stranger if it meant I could register for a KitchenAid stand mixer, so she has decided to get one for me as a housewarming present. Oh! I love my Kitchen Aid mixer. I have a few of the attachments (the ice cream mixer and the cheese shredder) and have registered for all of the others for my wedding.

There is actually a cookbook, I don't know the exact name, but it has something to do with Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer in the title. It has some ice cream, bread, and other recipes in it. I got it in the bargain section at B&N but I bet Target has it too!

I use mine to make marshmallows - it takes 15 minutes of straight mixing, so hard to do without a stand mixer ( ... )

The mixer will come with a book of recipes. The bread dough one is good, but I think it's a little thick. We end up with two pizzas out of it.
Also, you should volunteer for the mashed potatoes this Thanksgiving...the Artisan whips them up in no time!
