Does anyone here have Dish Network? We currently have Time Warner Cable but seem to be paying way too much for what we have. Dish Network has some interesting packages at pretty decent prices but I don't know anyone who has it to ask if they have any issues or wish they had gone with something else. Unfortunately, Verizon Fios is not available in ( Read more... )

I have Dish and while I'm not very excited about my bill I love the dual DVR. The best part about it is that I can watch TV I've recorded on my living room TV or bedroom TV. It's what keeps me with them. I've lost signal a few times due to weather but generally it comes back pretty quickly. I think the longest it was down was about an hour. Normally it's back up within 15 mins.

I have DirectTV and the only reason I have it is because I didn't have to sign a contract at my apartment complex. Service is terrible if there is a storm (snow or rain) although light rain seems to be ok. Too bad the only thing I feel like doing when the weather is that bad is curl up and watch TV :) Also they told me it would be an extra $30 a month for HD and $200 to get a DVR machine + another fee for the DVR service. So now I have a nice big HD TV without HD and no service during storms lol. And if you are football fans at all DON'T get this because you will flip out when you lose the game when the snow starts.

I have DishNetwork. My parents have had it for about 11 years and when I moved out I got it on my TV too. The bill can be a little steep at times and we would sometimes have problems when it thunderstormed as well, but I like it. I agree with the earlier poster about loooving my DVR. It's so nice.

I've had Dish for years - the only time we have a signal problem is if it is *storming*.

We live in Rural Northeast Ga, if that helps.
