Help Me, Peanut Butter Lovers!!
So, mods, let me know if this isn't allowed here, but I need some XMas gift suggestions. Well, it's not so much a suggestion -- I know what I want to get, just don't know where to get it. My google-fu is not giving me the results I want.
My brother LOVES peanut butter. The only thing he loves more than peanut butter is peanut butter and chocolate together. He goes through Reese's cups like he's on retainer by Hershey.
He's also notoriously hard to Christmas shop for because he goes out and buys all the stuff he puts on his list before (or sometimes after, even) anyone else can get it.
So, my hare-brained idea was to find some sort of not-your-everyday peanut butter cup. Maybe some other ingredient mixed in, a different flavored peanut butter, whatever. I'd rather buy them pre-made but if you know of a place where I can find some super cool recipes that are not difficult or overly time-consuming, that'd be cool too. I already looked at www.ilovepeanutbutter.com, and while theirs look tasty, their peanut butter cup sampler is just regular peanut butter with 4 different kinds of chocolate and I'm looking for something a little more...unique... than that. The only caveat is that he doesn't like white chocolate. My attempts at Googling are just giving me either a) gourmet, plain peanut butter with gourmet milk chocolate, or the like, or b) places that are hundreds of miles away from me and don't deliver.
I live in the Washington, DC area (live in Alexandria, VA, work in Bethesda, MD) and would love it if you could point me toward a brick-and-mortar store, but online stores that deliver are fine too.
And of course, the less expensive, the better, but I'm willing to consider any price range at this point as long as it's not uber-exorbitant ($50 for, like, 8 cups is CRAZY talk).
