I meant to at least compile a list of TV I've been watching over the last month, but instead, I went to Germany. (Writing that, I got the strongest sense of déjà vu.) Mostly for a school project (which basically means that I was running around in the city, and mostly saw subway trains) - so I think I only took about ten photographs that weren't ( Read more... )

Ever been to that drum and base club in that huge factory-like building right between the Rosa Luxemburg Platz exits? And the Synagoge is immensely pretty.

I've not; you're saying between the subway station exits?

Yes, something like that... I'm trying to remember the name of it, but I really can't. It was just a really odd experience being there. It was a monday night, so there wasn't that many people there. Like twenty guys in their late twenties standing several meters apart and doing some spastic dance by themselves. There are really nice wallpapers in the entrance and that was the best part of the night ;).

Is it sad that the only thing I currently associate with Germany is the Bauhaus Museum? If I'm ever in Europe, I'll definitely try to go there. Is it absolutely necessary to speak German in Germany? XD

Also, am I seriously the only person in the world who has always loved Amanda Peet? :P

I've never disliked her - rather the opposite - but I didn't like her take on Jordan the first few episodes. I'm warming up to her, though, which is nice.

That's not sad - I love Bauhaus. In fact, I'm holding a discussion/information thing on the school in German in a few weeks.

If you're ever in Europe, give me a ring, and I will personally transport you through Berlin. :)

..and no, it's not neccessary to speak German, but if you're branching out from the tourist spots, you might need it. Thing is, I like the east of the city far more than the west (that's where I've always lived, that's where the majority of the 'new' culture/creativity is, etc.), and in general, people have learned Russian in the old GDR rather than English. But teenagers speak some. (LET ME BE YOUR TRANSLATOR.)

They've done a tiny bit with Simon but not as much as I would like...you know the comic who is the new writer. Btw, does that scream Charlie the way that happened or is it just me?

I think Tom is adorable.

That's true - they have done a few things with him, but I'd like to see his life outside of S60, at least in passing conversation. Same thing with Danny, really.

And considering that Sorkin recycles characters like no other, I'd wager that we'll see some Charlie in someone sooner or later too - the new writer is similar, I think, in his insicurities.

Tom is adorable. I think they all are, honestly.
