I went to my hair stylist, came out with hair eight centimetres shorter, and all of a sudden, the general consensus is that I look 'French'. Except for my friend Marianne, who believes that 'with the stripes and the dots and the black and the coffee, you've always looked French. And then people get confused when you speak German.'
Imagine that. Get ( Read more... )

When I find myself a photographer who makes me look as good as my mirror does.

..the next time I look fantastic, that is. So, tomorrow, maybe?

I demand seeing this french look of yours. If you show me yours I'll show you mine. Once I get it done that is. Couldn't get an appointment until the end of the week. :(

Eitherway, I think it's more of a compliment being labelled as a francophile than a... germanophile. Being a francophile you get to listen to bitchin' sixties pop, which I don't think Germany had all that much of?

Oh, but Germany (West-, that is) had Bowie and Nick Cave and Tom Waits living it up in Berlin. But no, as far as I know, not much bitching sixties pop.

I do believe it's more of a compliment to look French than German, though. Unless one by 'German' means 'Heike Makatasch'.

+ Bowie, Cave and Waits really would have been equally cool wherever they were. But since there's this Bowie clip where he refers to "Berlin... and the wall" and he says it so well he kind of gives me goose bumps, so I guess I shouldn't be all that underrating. And they'll always have Kraftwerk.

Lol, not really. Though sending me candy last year was AWESOME (even though my mom wasn't really too happy with me eating candy that came in the mail). And I finally out those VM DVDs to good use! It's a shame it took me TOO DAMN LONG. Again, I'll be happy with just the card - getting stuff in the mail makes me all giddy. :D
