Today is a very special day. AN EVENT BEGINS. So eventful is this event that it must be contained in the confines of the internet tubes to keep it's eventful amazing from killing us all. Basically, it's like Freddie Mercury's ghost guest-starring in a Catz broadway musical at Summerfest.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY
HINABN-Style Whoah
You may ask yourself: "SELF? HOW THE BLOODY HELL DOES THIS WORK?" That is a very good and Britishy question. Christmas in July HINABN-Style Whoah (CIJHSW for short) is a fanart/fanfiction trade event. Our own version of Secret Santa, if you will. Here's the sexy little run-down:
- P r o c e s s -
- You sign up with your name and a request of some fic/art you'd like
- We place your name in the Cave of Wonders with all the other signed-up names
- On July 9th, sign-ups end
- We send you someone else's name and their request around July 10th-11th
- It is YOUR DUTY AS A HINABN PERSON THING to fulfill that person's wishes to the best of your ability. Please.
- Completed art and fic can be sent to cybertronics or thatremindsmeofapuzzle [AT] gmail [DOT] com
- The due date for aforementioned art and fic is August 15th
- On August 19-20, gifts are posted
- Sparkles and fireworks happen and everyone gets goodie bags
- R u l e s -
- Requests must be HINABN-themed (but may include cross-overs and original characters)
- Please try to keep what you're working on and for who unknown to others
- If the request you receive mentions that requester would like their gift to remain non-NC-17, please take note and adhere to that

- July 10-11: Assigned requests are sent out
- August 15: Last day to submit finished gifts

[ ♥ ] Can I clarify to not write/draw anything with a mature rating?
Yes. There will be a question on the sign-up form specifically pertaining to this.
[ ♥ ] What do I need to know about requesting mature-themed writing and art?
When signing up, please have at least one request that does not include a mature theme. While we'll do our best to assign you someone who would best fit fulfilling your request, on the chance the person is not comfortable - or of age - for creating something mature themed, please have another option available for them.
[ ♥ ] Do I have to be a member of Livejournal to sign up for the trade?
A Livejournal account isn't required to sign up for the event.
[ ♥ ] What is pinch-hitting?
A pinch-hitter is someone willing to help out when a gift is unable to be finished on the due date. If someone is unable to meet the due date, a pinch-hitter would come in and do the fic/art by the due date. It's an attempt at making sure everyone receives gifts. Being a pinch-hitter is absolutely not required, but appreciated. Please only sign up to be a pinch-hitter if you have a good idea that it's something you can do. Thank you!
