it seems that one who lives behind the lens lives a more isolated life than those that just run around with P/S boxes shooting crap pictures...
take fantastic pictures, and everyone's afraid of you...
HA.
go figure... I'd have thought people would want good pictures..
C'est la Vie! eh?

too true that there are beautiful people who join in my creativity. but for each of them, there are hundreds that react in a terribly common fashion..
through the course of a discussion, i mention photography; their eyes glaze over, and they sidle to the far side of the moon...
I can't imagine that my imagery is so good it makes people feel mortal, but... it's either that, or my delivery is plain creepy... (Naw, can't be that. Old, half-balding dood talking about pretty pictures... no way!!)
I think people are so protective of their misconceptions. There's no room for someone proving they aren't lacking in some fashion or another.
Maybe not... it's a half formed thought, justified by my irrational attempts at justifying my perceived failure through the actions of others, instead of being confident of my own capabilities and ignoring the chaff of weak minded souls.
hell, we're all human, right? well, at least y'all are :)

If people can't see that, they don't understand Art
and for those other "photographers"
Disposable camera's, no lighting(indoors) doesn't count.

Lets see... a room full of self assured women and a guy with a cardboard camera.. The very thought brings most astonishing images to mind.

The shoots I went to were professional-semiprofessional photographers, with lighting and good cameras.
I simply meant that someone trying to be artistic with a disposable, well, doesn't happen that easily, I know.

Metaphors are only fun when they preclude nasty things... *sigh*
