Reflection 32

Nov 25, 2007 09:08

Thanks to Mikage, I was able to come see the show after all. I'm glad he was there to carry me up the stairs at least, it's hard to climb stairs with crutches. I was backstage, so I did get a nice view of everything...even though everyone was bustling about constantly and I wasn't really able to talk to anyone in extreme depth. But nonetheless...

I'm glad you got to see it, Rue.

Thanks. Everyone's been saying I was really good.

I'm glad you're out of the Hospital Wing.

Um...I think I saw Odile dash off towards the owlry when I let Coppelia go earlier today.

Me too. I'm glad Mikage was able to persuade Madame Pomfrey.

Considering you subbed in for me at the last minute, you did spectacularly.

Ha, so am I. It's very tedious in there.

The owlry? *sarcastically* ...Fantastic. *sighs* Thank you, Pique. Better go find her before she does anything to Fakir's owl.

I wish I could've talked to you, but I was busy.

Thank you. I wish I could've seen you perform, but you'll be in the next show, I'm sure!

You're welcome. What do you think she'll do?

It's all right, I wasn't really able to talk to anyone very much at all...everyone stays very busy in a show like this.

I look forward to what the next show will be. Any ideas thus far?

*annoyed sigh* I am not sure...but when they were human, Odile had a bit of a..."fondness" for Fakir's owl Lohengrin.

You saw it?

It was..... *not sure how to describe his reaction to the tragedy*

From backstage, yeah.

...Indescribable?

Everything must have sounded different from there.

That description works.

*a loud yowl proceeds Fakir entering the Slytherin commonroom and he looks severely displeased as he carries Odile (complete with half a mouse in her maw) by the scruff of her neck, both of his hands savagely scratched, his head and shoulders littered with feather dander, along with torn remnants of a letter in his free hand and his tie in tatters. He strides over to Rue as soon as he spots her*

...Here's your bloody cat. *and he instantly drops Odile*

[ooc: COULD NOT RESIST. XDDD Hope it doesn't bother you too much, Rue-chan~]

*definitely surprised by this entrance. Odile looks sourly up at Fakir, meowing crankily as she scurries underneath the chair Rue was sitting, her gold eyes glinting through the dark like a bat's. Rue's eyes wander over Fakir's scratches and his torn tie, and her eyebrows rise incredulously.* What on earth happened to you?

((Nope, don't bother me one bit. XDDDD This is just too priceless.))

*scowls* Your CAT happened to me. *lifts the shredded letter with measured disdain* I was trying to mail something when I saw your bloody cat in the owlery, bothering Lohengrin yet AGAIN. And she ATTACKED me when I tried to get her to LEAVE, hence my tie and all the damn scratches. *his eyes narrow* Unless there's some reason that it's so goddamn hard to keep that cat out of there, I don't see why I have to keep YOUR cat from MY owl, particularly when he's just minding his own damn business in the owlery, where he's supposed to be.

[ooc: Dude, dude, dude, did you see Cirucci's post?? Of some of the 'hot guys' in Hogwarts? XDDDDD]

*eyes narrow in response to the answer, before she reaches down to snatch her cat out from under the chair and into her lap. Odile squirms, not wanting to be in anyone's arms right now since she wants to go back to the owlry and share the rest of her mouse with Lohengrin, and yowls unhappily* Well, I'm not very sorry about the damage. ...I don't need any more owls getting clawed at, so I suppose I should find a spell or something to put around the owlry so Odile can't get in. *stands, holding Odile not gently but not roughly* Until then, to keep you from complaining anymore about my cat following your owl, I'll keep her in the girls' dorm. Is that satisfactory? *Odile yowls angrily at Fakir around the dead mouse in her teeth.*

((XDDDDDD OMFG, I'm dying from laughter over here. Oh maaaaan. X3))

There's no need to thank me, Miss Rue. I couldn't have the intended lead of the show miss out on the very performance she dedicated herself to miss it! I hope the view wasn't too bothersome. I tried having the backstage crew rearrange the props and backdrops more accordingly before our arrival.

I'm glad to see you approved of your friends and others performances in the play. Some of the professors reactions to the production were very noteworthy, as were the gasps and looks on the students faces. I think everyone deserved the praise and admiration gained through this production and only wish there was something more to offer than an after party.

You are most welcome for the card. I hope it wasn't too sentimental. You wouldn't believe how long it took to organize everyone's attention for a quick photo. I swear, those two (referring to Yuujiro and Hiraku) were the most disruptive individuals I've ever had to work with ( ... )

...Well, seeing it definitely made me feel better about not being able to be in. Oh no, it was an interesting way to watch the production...I was closer to the cast, in a way.
*slight wry smile* The message was a little cliched, but it was still nice to receive. It was nice to know you all cared.

Yes, so I can see. Even their photographed selves seem enthusiastic. Well, you taking the time when it was that troublesome is flattering.

Ah, um...I didn't get to see or talk to him, so thanks for assuring him. Hmm...well, he did seem a little nervous during the first half of the show...perhaps he was just forcing himself a little too much into his role in that scene? I don't think he really had to act quite that much either...

Oh no, not at all; I'd be glad to see you...and tea would be lovely.

I'm glad it helped lift your drifting spirits. A few times you looked rather down, but I figured it was the medicine kicking in and your lack of proper rest. I'm sure some of the audience members would have loved the view you had on the production. Perhaps on the next production, we can record the angle and sell it to raise money for the Drama Club.

Quite. The rumors I've heard about those two's interactions around school seem nothing less than comical. I suppose it's only natural for two larger than life personalities to gravitate towards one another eventually.

And nonsense. Anything to help make my pupil feel better was worth the time and energy. -smiles-

You're most welcome. And yes, he did seem a little high strung. I had to reassure him a few times to just breath, remember his lines and act naturally. It's understandable to get stage fright before a huge production, especially if it was his first time on stage. Knowing that made his performance all the more truly spectacular to watch. He was born for that role and I do ( ... )

You really liked my performance? Thank you, Rue-chan. I tried my best and had a lot of fun working with you on the costumes. I think the most fun I had were the times rehearsing with Mytho for our scenes and talking with Tooru and Mikoto at the after party. The organization really had Mikage's name written all over it.

For what it's worth, I think you would have made a beautiful Juliet. That dress was so detailed and seemed fit for a princess, waiting to see her Prince. -he smiled knowingly- I do hope they cast you in the next play as well. You have a lot of talent and anyone would be crazy not to notice.

I hope I didn't look too stupid in the card. I felt kinda off guard when the flash bulb went off..

You're welcome; you were very believable. And it was nice working with you too. Yes, rehearsing with Mytho...with everyone, really, it...it was all so nice. I only wish I could have actually performed with you all too after all of those long rehearsals.

...Thanks, Yuujiro, that's very sweet of you. *blushes despite herself* ...Well, that...would really depend on what show Pique and Kaoru decide to try next. All I know is they might do a show for Valentine's Day, and that could be pretty much any romantic show. But I look forward to seeing what they pick.

It's understandable. You put a lot of time and effort into the production, both on stage and off. I'm sure your performance would have captivated the audience hands down.

It was really great you got some appreciation during the ending credits. Mikage is thoughtful when it comes to those kind of things. Everyone worked so hard to make the play successful!

Yeah, it's definitely going to be interesting. I've already heard some students talking about it. Everyone is so curious to see what play is going to be next. I heard a rumor it might even be a ballet? You're good at ballet, so I'm sure you'd be cast!

Thanks. Pique did very well, though, I was worried since she didn't have much time to practice as Juliet. ...Yes, I'm very appreciative for him for that, it was very kind of him. *nods* I doubt that the show could have turned out quite as well as it did if everyone hadn't put their all into working on their part.

Oh? I hadn't heard that...I'll have to ask Pique if that's what they're considering. I wouldn't be surprised if she and Kaoru were considering it, though, Pique does dance. ...Well, I have no formal training, but I'm flattered you think so.
