Reflection 54

Aug 26, 2008 09:32

I cannot believe some people aren't taking these attacks seriously. I've heard several people comment on how "amusing" this situation is, and really, it's perfectly idiotic. The Death Eaters are not to be laughed about.

The Daily Prophet is not much better; were it not for me wanting to know what's going on, I'd cancel my subscription right now, ( Read more... )

slytherin, wtf i could be next?, attack, stupid people, death eaters, ahiru, incompetence, daily prophet

...Finding out any information on the event was strenuous. Half the student body wasn't present or wasn't willing to discuss details.

(OOC: Wangst. Without Yuujiro around, I don't have any characters that speak to yours anymore. I want to change that though! I was wondering if Yoite would suffice? He's a 6th year Ravenclaw. Read his profile page in this journal. Trust me, he would greatly interest you. Have I ever lead you astray, my dear? I've missed you! ♥)

Hmph. Then they should say that they do not have all the information, rather than put forth such offensive theories.

((Tonyyyy~! *tackle* <3 More than, honey. Two angsty orphans in the same room? These two should get along quite well. XDD))

...Fabricated lies will only add a bad image to the academy they wanted to protect. I wonder if the walls, or the students that live inside them are more important on the front page.

(OOC: I actually thought of Rue after I picked him up. I was wondering if they would be good friends, knowing their ages and backgrounds. I think they'd understand each other pretty well. He's a bit different from my other characters, even compared to Yuu's drama.)

Indeed. However, I suppose the Daily Prophet finds it reasonable to make up such nonsense in order to boost their sales and in order to please the Ministry of Magic. I don't doubt they'll easily take a bad image of the school over taking a bad image of the government.

Were you there, when the Death Eaters attacked?

How could anyone find such an event amusing?

Some stupid people either agree with the Death Eaters' philosophy or just find violence and chaos amusing in general. I can assume you haven't encountered many of them in your house, at least.

Tha- how terrible!

No- I don't believe I have... And I hope I never do!

I agree.

Then be happy Gryffindor doesn't have the reputation that Slytherin does...and the idiots. ...Considering how stupid you can be, I rather hope you don't encounter one either. *really not trying to be mean, just being practical and deep down a tiny bit concerned*

...I can't say I've ever agreed with you more.

[Private to Rue]

I would say its more than just damned insensitivity. I've heard at least two people in our house speaking of how they agreed with their ridiculous doctrine. It's repulsive.

...And she's fine. She only sustained minor injury. Which could have been avoided, if I...

[ooc: Strikes are all gone. He hacks...surprisingly because he agrees. 8D And get on yahoo, bint. >/]

...I'm glad I'm not the only one in our house who is still sane.

[Private to Fakir]

Those people can believe whatever they want as far as I'm concerned; they just better not crow about or act on it, unless they want to join the Death Eaters formally and get their just desserts that way.

...I suppose I am glad you were there, at least.

It would seem that way given how many are acting.

[Private to Rue]

Hn. When they're referring to how eager they are to join them, the well-being of the student body comes into question. How people like that are even permitted in the school is beyond me.

I wasn't of much help. ...I think we would have both preferred missing it period.

Well, I don't doubt a lot of them are all talk, anyway...but even so, you're right, it shouldn't be permitted. If all else, it threatens the well-being of those with less-than-magical heritage. This school is for all young wizards and witches; it does not specify on how they are raised or how they believe, and making such specifications would only raise complaints.

Obviously. Everyone would have preferred to have miss such event happening all together.
