You know what? I vote we count this turn of events as canon, and stick our heads in the sand. It's a much lovelier scenario than the ol' reset-to-status-quo that's actually happened.

I totally agree. When I heard Arthur say it was thanks to MERLIN that he thought magic was evil again, I went like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ^^"
