Do you have a dentist in the Westwood/Dedham/Waltham/Boston general area that you would recommend? If so, please let me know!

I used to go to Dr. Newton, at Charles River Dental. Still would, if my insurance permitted: she's great.

I go to Dr. Newton at Charles River Dental (a short walk from the Charles/MGH stop on the red line). I like them very much. However, I also got the most deft and thorough cleaning ever at Tufts Dental School, with someone I believe named Rebecca (I can probably confirm that if you need); Tufts only takes one type of insurance on the spot, and for any other kind you need to apply for reimbursement to your insurance yourself, which is kind of a pain. But the cleaning was a flat $70, which was pleasantly non-arcane.

Dr. Michael Bane in Cambridge, who's between Porter and Davis Square. He is good to my teeth, and has been for several years.

I used to LOVE Dr. Balboa in Newton Corner.

I see that there are some reviews here and do remember that when I first went to him, I had never ever had novacain, about which I heard all sorts of horrorshow stories about the size of the needle and that it hurt and blah blah. This man has an unbelievably deft touch, and the way he handled the novacain needle was just one example.

I think he's now out of Hopkinton part of the time; Newton Corner (as always) the rest.

Definitely my fave dentist of all time, just sayin'.
