Firstly I think it is important to note that you should be allowed anyone off of your partner's list. For example, if your wife says Johnny Depp you should be allowed to do Johnny Depp for bragging rights and also because you could say things like, "Well honey, you'd do him." This is particularly applicable, of course, to gay relationships.

I disagree with Matt's point about being allowed to do people from your partner's list. If you would want to do that particular person, place them on your list. Otherwise it seems that one would be violating the spirit of the list. Five people means five people. No more.
