Daigo clasp his palm as another competition's assistant put a weird looking gear all around his body, Ren throw a glance at him worrily, not moving from his spot.
the assistant push a tiny button on both of the boys' waist and a blue light lit up from their suit.
"this suit will give you power and speed, you will be able to climb this mountain 10 times faster than regular climber. use it wisely." the lady on black announced before a really loud horn honking, as a signal to begin the game.
Ren look amazedly by the blue-ish gear on his hands, as it is glow with vivid light, then to the mountain, then to his ex band member, he took a deep breath and start climbing.
it was easy, because they would only have to climb it and the gear are surely a big help. Ren look at his right side and Daigo's serious face come to sight, he noticed every emotion Daigo was pulling, his drop of sweat, his hair movement, and his eyes catch Ren's attention.
it was the eyes he used to stared at everyday, the eyes he use to adore in his every dream. Now it looks empty, replaced by the look of pain and anger. The eyes that was always reflect happiness now turn to complete darkness.
Daigo swift his eyes to pierced to Ren's. " What are you looking at?" He said, as he climb faster.

" Do you think it was too easy? let's make it harder." the lady said, sucking on her cigarete, then gesturing her assistant to launch her evil plan.
the mountain suddenly shake uncontrollably, both boys was shock as they are thrown several metres down, failing their attemp to reach the top.
"Shit!" Daigo curse as he panically grab a tree branch the time he was thrown. Ren's back hit stoned area hard, and slid several metres downward, his eyes shot open in surprise, luckily he was able to grip on a rather stable surface, while trying to get back up to his original position.
Daigo's survival activity rewarding him two deep scratch accros his adorable face, he pant his way up as he rub his pained cheek on the progress.
they succeeding climbing few metres above as the air getting thinner and their oxygen are getting more and more limited.
"I think, they are thirsty," the lady smiled dangerously, "why don't we give them a little water?"
as she finish her word, the sky suddenly getting dark and a thunder roared enormously, a little moment later, come a heavy rain with a thypoon.
their hightech gear began to beep dangerously, the blue light running on and off uncontrollably.
seems like they don't care about it, both boys stubbornly climb their way up with all of their might. slip a lot here and there, as the rain getting heavier.
"this is still too easy, let's make it more fun."
Daigo's body gear suddenly heat up badly and it blew up dangerously, throwing Daigo's un-armored body down fastly as the boy hardly even understand the situation, his hands reaching wildly to any surface he can grab.He was succeedly grab on a stable stone, but unfortunately breaking his ankle in the proggres.
"Aaaaargh!" he scream in pain, clutching desperately at the surface, whincing in total agony. his breating getting uneven as drop of blood running from his wounds.
Ren was about to reach the top of the mountain as a faint pained voice roaring from lower place.
"Reen! REEEN! tasukete. Ren!"
and as much as he try to ignore, Ren look down at the source of the voice.
"Ren," Daigo pant desperately, "help me, Ren,"
Ren was gobsmacked by the sight, Daigo's hands was trembled intensely as he tried to clutch on the mountain's surface desperately. his gentle face now full of dirt and scratch and blood, he look like a body without soul, and now is begging for resurrection.
Ren's mind was hazy, if he didn't win this,he would be dead, and so is the rest of his new group's member, but the look of his best friends are ripping the only sane mind he is having right now.
"Ren," Daigo's voice getting hoarser, tired of all his useless survival attempt.
Ren look at the boy and stoned, when all the memory flew on his head.
"My bestfriend is Daigo because we were the longer together."
"When it comes to junior activity, I will consult to Daigo, he will always had his own way on cheering me up."
"Come to think of it, maybe it's not him that like him but me who like him,there's nothing about him that I don't like."
Ren's mind then snapped unexpectedly, climbing his way down to where Daigo was, completely forgeting the fact that the older boy was his opponent.

the other boys are watching the game at the main hall, Onishi was squirm under Mukai's embrace.
"Jikko, Daichan wa, Daichan wa," he sobs as he clutch the older guy tighter.
"he will be fine, he will be fine." the older smiled bitterly as he pats the youngest back to calm him down.
Sho was sitting on the hard floor, his eyes never leave the screen infront of him,bitting his fingernail as his body is trembling in fear, he took a slight glance on his former band member then back to the screen, his face pale in frustration.
"What are you doing, Ren! you are almost there, you could win it, you idiot!" Kishi was shouting in anger when Ren turning his way back down to save Daigo.
"Shut up you punk, let him do the fuck he want!" Mukai snorted at the other guy, the younger just turn his back from the screen, punching a nearest wall then scream in frustration.

"Daigo! daijoubu?" he asked panically, as he arrive on Daigo's position. Daigo smiled weakly, then shook his head.
"baka ka omae," he joked as he winch in pain.
"Come, cling on my shoulder, I carry you," Ren said, helping Daigo to clutch on his shoulder, then he continue to climb back up.
his gear vibrate in protest, a red light was flicking while beeping, signaling that the boys has misused the gear. he was suppose to use it alone.
Ren shook off all that tought and continue climbing, Daigo was clutching his entire life on Ren's shoulder, he was looking at Ren's face intensely.
"what is it, Ren, you said, I was your favorite, but it's sho now? well I guess my feeling will always become an unrequited love."
"Ren,"
"Daijoubu," Ren said, panting as droplets of sweats running through his jawline, " we will get there soon," he said again, smiled faintly, Daigo nodded then burried his head on Ren's chest.
they finally reaching the top of the mountain, the red button is there waiting to be pushed. two assistant was stanby at the top, watching both boys in stern look.
"Daigo, let's push the button together," Ren said pant heavily.
"No Ren, you are the winner," Daigo answered.
"No, WE are the winner, you fight so hard down there."
"No, Ren,"
"Daigo, come on," Ren said at the end, guiding Daigo to the button and holding his hand in place as he put it on top of the button then they both press it.
suddenly a heavy wind come out of nowhere and the image of the lady in black appear.
"Nagase-san, Nishihata-san, you have complete the first stage, congratulation," She clap her perfectly manicured hand, "unfortunately, you have flawed the game rules." her expression change dramatically, she lift her sitting position a little then continue,
"because of that tiny mistake. you will be disqualified," the lady smirked devilishly as she ordered her assistant to get rid of the boys.
the mountain shook again and a huge hole formed on the ground, both boys was to late to react as they are sucked to the hole completely.

Ren open his eyes, only to find himself lying on some kind of an hightech hospital bed. with strange pipe surrounding him, he take a look on his left side, and Daigo was there still unconscious. oxygen tube are standing beside his bed.
"Daigo," Ren called faintly, the room was pale white, an isolated room with two bed at the center, both boys are laying on to it.
Daigo flick his eyes slowly, rubbing it to adapt with the new light.
"Ren, what happen?" the older asked.
Ren shook his head. " I don't know," he said.
Daigo then swift his sight to his feet.
"Eh? didn't I break it just now?" he asked in surprise as he feel absolutely no pain on his feet anymore.
"I'm glad you are okay," Ren commented.
Daigo getting up from his bed and approaching Ren's, sitting on the other's bed, he put his hand on Ren's cheek and lean in for a kiss.
"thank you for saving me," Daigo smiled sincerely as they part away.
they was about to continue their reunion, but a strange voice start roaring from the speakerphone, a wide screen suddenly spread out in front of them, show them the condition inside the mainhall.
the score screen are now showing.
"NAGASE NISHIHATA, DISQUALIFIED" word with their face being covered with a red X-sign.
the screen start flicking again.
"Second fighter. MUKAI KOJI versus HIRANO SHO."
they can clearly looking at the boys reaction at the main hall.
Mukai was freezed at his spot, while little Onishi was shaking his body while whining.
Sho was clutching his hair in frustration.
"Very interesting." the lady in black said. " Hirano-san, Mukai-san, please enter the capsule. let's play."
