I won a Kenny,from South Park, plushie out of a crane game at the mall today. I feel kinda awesome since it was a first try, and kinda accidental.

I used to watch people play them and then dd a little practicing myself. This really didn't take as much change as you might think.

my mother used to know this person who was one of those people who was annoyingly good at crane games....and there's been many times when I've wished that I could remember who that person was, and whether we still had contact with them to ask them how they did it.

I used to be really good at them, like 3 items off 4 tries. Nowadays I don't have much luck, but I'm betting that's because the machines no longer play by the admittedly already shaky rules. There was at least one machine I played that only dropped the crane part of the way on one of my tries, when it had dropped further the try before. Ugh cheater machine still makes me mad!

The trick behind these machines though is to get the claw to drop sideways around your item because the 'teeth' don't actually start to close till after it's started to retract up. This increases your chances of the teeth actually closing around your item. Also try to got for items laying on top of the pile and near the drop hole if possible.

A friend wrote Hughes/Roy/Ed fic. I don't know how you'll like Huges, he's kinda of well a bit of a bastard in it but not too much. I think you said you kinda like Hughes like that or a soemthing, not positive. Just wanted to show since you are hte first one I thought of when I saw it :)
