They were invited by Takaki Yuya, Ryosuke’s boyfriend, to a party, specifically a birthday party where everyone will enjoy a lot. But Takaki got drunk and mistaken Daiki as Ryosuke. It wasn’t done purposively but because of that the twins started to battle with each other, making it difficult for Takaki to decide if to whom he should spend the rest of his life with.

“What?!...” Daiki stepped back right away after Kei pulled him to do something in the kitchen. “I’m not here to cook! I’m here to study!...”

“But don’t you think it will be a plus points for you if Yuya knew you can cook?...”

“But I can’t---”

“Hush!...” he pinches Daiki’s lips to close at once. “Just cook something and I’ll be in the living room…”

It looks like the guy is just hungry to ask him about it. It’s obvious after all. This house doesn’t have any maids or cooks. And as far as he knows, Yuya was the only person living in this abode before. “Screw this…” he clamored while marching toward the kitchen. “If I just knew this would happen, I should have not accepted his offer…”

“Oh, Ryosuke?...” Again, Yuya mistook Daiki as Ryosuke but when the guy turns around to face him, he almost had his face hidden behind the walls. Why until now he can’t differentiate the two by just looking at their backs? He should be knowledgeable about it already because Ryosuke is already his boyfriend. “Sorry…” he scratched his head with his face turning red little by little. “What are you doing here?...”

“Kei is my tutor…” he replied plainly with nothing in mind as of the moment. All he cares right now is to win the competition he has with his brother and Yuya will just be on his agenda later once Ryosuke is already beaten up to pieces in academics.

“Then why are you heading to my kitchen?...”

“To cook something…”

“Who told you that?...” he asked back, quite angry about it. “Was it Kei?...”

Daiki turned a head away first, thinking if he should just answer it truthfully but when he remembered what Kei had told him just a while ago, he decided to reply it this way, “No…” he shook his head. “I decided it myself because I feel sorry for Kei. He’s my tutor and he’s not asking anything in return, so as a token of my gratitude, I’m cooking him something to fill in his stomach…”

“Are you telling me the truth?...” he speculated since he knows his cousin too well. Kei is lazy when it comes to household chores. And besides, Daiki is a guest and it’s too rude for a guest to cook for someone who is actually living in this house. “KEI!...” he angrily called the name of his cousin.

Kei immediately jumped out the door to run away and to hide somewhere where Yuya couldn’t find him. And while in his hiding spot, he waited for the two to check in the living room and when Daiki stepped exactly to where he wanted the guy to be in right now, he pressed something in his pocket and the lamp in the living room went exploding. “YES!...” he excitedly jumped in place when he saw how Yuya protected Daiki from the shattering glass. “This is supposed to be the last plan I had for today but since you stepped on the bomb Yuya…” he giggled. “It becomes the first one right away…”

“Are you ok?...” Yuya checks on Daiki right away just after he enclosed the boy in the most protective hug he could give. Just a while ago, he thought he won’t be able to reach on time but amazingly he dashed so fast that he can’t even remember how he managed to protect Daiki in that way.

“Yes…” Daiki nodded with face staring down the floor. He can’t explain his feelings right now. All he knew he was protected by the guy he thought won’t be there on time to cover him away from harm. “How about you?...” he asked back when he found a deafening silence that is now growing between them.

“I’m fine…” he patted Daiki on the head and then he looked around to check if he could find Kei’s presence somewhere. But the shattered lamp had taken his attention first which makes him sigh heavily then. “I should have not bought that…” he said with regret. At this moment, he’s troubled with fear that if Daiki was hurt, he can’t ever forgive himself for that. “Take a rest here and I’ll clean this mess…”

“Let me help you…”

“No need.

“But---”

“Just wait here, Kei must be coming back any moment…”

“So subtracting like this and multiplying this way will do the trick?...” Daiki asked Kei when at last the most concise formula made it all easy for him to answer the hard questions. But Kei isn’t listening anymore. Instead, the guy is now watching the outdoor where the golden retriever and the silverian husky are now playing dirtily on the muddy ground.

“Daiki…” Kei grumbled and the boy had given him a look right away. “Should we bath the dogs?...”

“Eh?...” Daiki blinked confusingly. “I’m here to study and not to bath the dogs…”

“But they’re dirty…” he clicked his tongue annoyingly but when Daiki acted like deaf to that, he grabbed the boy to walk with him and to drag the dogs to the nearest faucet. “Grab the soap and turn the faucet on…”

“But I said I’m here to study and not to---”

“You had studied enough for today, why not bath the dogs and have some fun this time?...” he suggested while working on with his next plan.

Daiki pouted but since it’s true after all that he had enough knowledge for today’s lesson, he grabbed the soap to rub it on the dog’s fur while sprinkling water on it at the same time. “Easy, easy…” he said while soothing the dog to calm down and when he was finally absorbed in bathing the dogs, enjoying as well, Kei moved away little by little and that’s when Yuya noticed him again.

“What are you doing?!...” Yuya got angry again seeing Daiki doing the job that Kei should be doing right now. “This isn’t your job…” he said while pulling the golden retriever’s leash who keeps on licking Daiki's cheeks playfully.

“It’s ok…” Daiki giggled and the silverian husky hopped on his back to push him exactly to where Yuya is now pulling the other dog.

“Be careful!...” he shouted while catching Daiki on his top. He groaned as soon his back landed on the ground. He was about to push Daiki already to stand but when he was struck by something he can’t understand, he ends up pulling Daiki to stay where they are right now.

“Yuya?...” Daiki wondered right away. It’s ok for him to stay like this forever but knowing that this must be too awkward already, he starts pushing Yuya to let him go. “I think we should get up now…”

“Wait…” Yuya said while stopping Daiki not to struggle any further. “I must have missed Ryosuke…” he said when he thought of what he just felt by now was all because Ryosuke is not with him today. “Just let me hold you like this for a while…”

Daiki sobbed achingly against Yuya’s chest. Yuya panicked right away to pull and to drag the boy to stand up with him from the ground.

“What’s wrong? Are you hurt somewhere?...”

“What do you think?...” he asked back with arms now brushing his eyes back in forth. If he only knew this would happen. If he only knew this could pain him even more. And if he only knew that Yuya will even use him just to think of him as Ryosuke, he should have not come here, he should have not accepted Kei’s offer and he should have not been this fool to believe that this plan will work. “ I’m leaving…”

“Now?...” Yuya asked worriedly.

“YES!...”

“But you’re all wet and soapy and---”

“What do you care? I’m not that important to you after all. Why would you care?!...”

“I’m just concern…”

“To whom? To Ryosuke who might scold you for letting me look like this while going home?...”

“No…” he shook his head. “I’m concern about you…”

“Why? Because I’m you boyfriend’s brother?...”

“Well, that’s true but---”

“Enough…” Kei intervened. He can’t stand watching Daiki getting hurt more and more of Yuya’s idiotic, senseless and brainless nature. “He said he’s leaving, let him go…”

“But---” before Yuya could voice out what he was about to say, Daiki marched out his sight. He should not be concern about it anymore because it’s the boy’s decision to leave but as he watches how Daiki cried while walking away, he can’t help not to feel something like pity or regret or rather lost. “He should have changed his clothes…”

“No…” Kei regretfully argued. “He should have not come here instead…”

“Why?...”

“Find the answer yourself. You might know him better than I do…”

“Yuck!...” Ryosuke did so many back steps right away to distant himself from his brother who had come home with all wet and smelly clothes on the body. “You smell like dogs! Where have you been? Don’t tell me you played with them until now?...”

“I’m not an idiot to do that…” he scowled. “But I’m an idiot to think that they will like me…” he’s not talking about dogs, he’s referring the ‘they’ to Yuya, the guy who had hurt him inside out today. “Is Mom and Dad home?...”

“No…” Ryosuke replied with fingers now pinching his own nose. “Will you take a bath already? You’re making me sick!...”

“Really?...” he stepped closer and Ryosuke felt threatened to that.

“What the hell are you doing?!...”

“What if Yuya smells this way? Will you still like him?...”

“Yuya never smells this way! And he’s not an idiot to use dog shit as his perfume!...”

“Then what if he will smell this way?...” he continued pursuing his brother who is now about to run away from him. “Will you still kiss him, hug him and tell him that you love him?...”

“Why should I answer that?!...” he pushed Daiki not to step any closer anymore. “That will never happen after all so there’s no need for me to answer that!...”

“Then you’re a scaredy-cat…” he mocked.

“I’m not!...”

“Then why can’t you answer?...”

“Because you’re just trying to annoy me!...”

“Then that’s still a scaredy cat!...”

“Will you shut up!...”

“Why? Am I now getting inside you head, annoying your brain cells to die all together at once?...”

“You stupid idiotic fucking brother!...”

“If there’s someone stupid idiotic and fucking among us, then that’s you!!!...”

“DAIKI!!!...” Damn! They’re parents are just on time to witness Daiki miming those dirty words inside the house. “How dare you!...” Daiki was spanked right away by their mother and Ryosuke hid a grin for that. “How could you say that to your big brother?!...” asked by their father then but Daiki decided not to answer back anymore. Instead, he just accepted the scolding all afternoon which includes how he smells, how he looks and how insulting it is to see him growing up like this. He was again labeled as dumb by his mother and useless by his father. All his parents did that day was to scold him without even letting him explain a little. He was also whacked, slapped and even sanctioned not to go outside the house unless it’s about school and church. And all those times, Ryosuke was just watching him getting the beatings and hurt while eating marshmallow and strawberry at the table.

“Would you like some?...” Ryosuke offered a strawberry in a mocking manner when they’re parents is not anymore around. He’s trying to give it to Daiki but when Daiki is about to stare at it or just even to stare at him, he’ll gobble it immediately inside his mouth. “I guess all the good stuff only belongs to me…” he said while watching how the tears that are now forming on his twin brother’s lids. “You have to accept it Daiki… Mom and Dad are mine, Grandpa and Grandma are mine, Praises and fames are mine, Yuya is mine and these specially bought strawberries are mine…”

“Sure…” Daiki nodded. “They’re all yours for now but be careful because I’m now more eager to take everything away from you even that means I have to forget that we are born on the same womb…”
