I'm in agreement with pretty much everything you said. Though you forgot to mention the game's criminal lack of Edgeworth! I'm also not sure how this is possible, but the game manages to create time paradoxes in the last case that make even LESS sense than the ones in Onimusha 3.

Those quibbles aside, I'm also astonished at how this is probably the ONLY series from Capcom that actually has its head on straight as far as storytelling is concerned. The Ace Attorney games may seem crazy, but all of the cases follow a certain logic to the end. Is that something you can say about the Resident Evil, Onimusha, or Mega Man series?

Yeah, I forgot to mention that Mason system thing. It was really innovative and I ended up enjoying playing time-traveler to put all the pieces together. But you're totally right in that it creates time paradoxes; like you said, this IS a Capcom game, so it's too much to expect that everything will make sense.

And I know you love Edgeworth and all, but the game was all about introducing new characters. Perhaps Edgeworth will get a cameo next game? I hope he does for your sake. :p
