To avoid messes and issues, the mods have provided a set of rules for the participants to adhere to. These were thought carefully with the wellbeing of both the Big Bang and the participants in mind. There is a reason as to why these rules are to be implemented within the course of the Big Bang and we do hope no problems/issues will be brought up during the challenge.
If anything needs to be clarified or discussed, the mods have open ears.
-To avoid a mess in schedule, the big bang will be following
Pacific Standard Time.
-The participant may fill any number of roles they want to but the participant must be sure they will fulfill their task/s with true effort.
-A project may have up to two artists and two betas.
-A project must have a slot for artist/s but if the writer is uncomfortable with having a beta, then they simply must say they are not allowing betas to claim the project.
-Pre-arranged pairs are allowed only if:
- the artist or beta will do other works, or
- the writer has another project or they are an artist/beta as well
-Writers who are also artists/betas are not allowed to claim their own story.
-A writer may write to a maximum of two projects if they believe they can finish both projects.
-A writer may provide a project they had been previously working on but if it’s been posted previously, this posted work is not allowed to be more than 1,000 words.
-You are allowed to write anything as long the/one of the main pairings is hijack (doesn’t necessarily have to be endgame) and no bashing has been done.
-Sequels, prequels, etc. are allowed as long as what you give hasn’t been posted before. Chaptered works or one long oneshot is allowed.
-Any Hiccup/Jack pairing that isn’t hijack must be mentioned in the masterlist.
-Warnings must be provided with the project when finally posted as it may be potential triggers to its readers. (What is classified as a warning may be seen in General Information.)
-There will be a posting schedule, of which the mods will be deciding on, and the the participants are expected to be able to post their works on their schedule.
-If the writer is unable to send their project summary/info during the Writer’s Check-In, the mods will assume they are foregoing the challenge.
-The works may be posted anywhere in the internet, as long as there is immediate access to the public. It may not be locked of any sort.
-On the other hand, the masterlist of the project must be posted either in Tumblr (either submitted here or tagged under ‘hijack big bang’ or ‘big bang hijacked!’) or the Livejournal Community.
-The claiming will be anonymous and the summaries/teasers will be posted by the mods (taken from the check-in, also in secret) to avoid preference. As such, there will be no revealing until after the mods provide the revealing post. You may post comments anonymously if clarification is needed.
-If the participant is planning on dropping out of the big bang, they must contact one of the mods, immediately, as well as the people they are working with.
