Hiccup owns a restaurant and catering place with Astrid. She runs the front of the house while he handles the food. Elsa’s looking for a place to hold her bachelorette party and a caterer for her wedding reception. Astrid tells Hiccup that she has a friend coming in with her fiancé for a tasting. Elsa’s fiancé can’t make it and instead her brother, Jack, joins her to sample the food and finalize the plans for her reception. Jack can’t figure out why, despite his flirtations, Hiccup keeps giving him the cold shoulder.
It’s an old-fashioned case of mistaken identity, folks.

Having only recently gotten his degree and also losing his one good job, Hiccup is currently jobless, indebt, and relying on his uni friend/flatmate/lessor more and more than he likes; not that the guy seems to mind, semi-rich, overly kind bastard. He needs money quick-sticks and after a 'chat' with his father, he unfortunately has to get help from his cousin. He just didn't think the money was going to be harder to get than he originally thought.

Hiccup falls in love with Death. Literally. The hooded figure first appears to him in his dreams, and Hiccup slowly starts to look forward to going to sleep every night. But then, he isn't only sleeping at night - he's falling asleep in class, on the bus, in the locker room...until the dreams bleed over into his hours of awareness. He's seeing things. Seeing him, everywhere. The boy whose name he doesn't know, whose face he's never seen. It's a slippery slope, chasing after a ghost - Hiccup knows. But as the pale hand beckons, glowing in the darkness, and as that unseen smirk pierces the thin line between what is and isn't real, it's becoming increasingly difficult for Hiccup to care at all.
