Never coming back? Well, now I'm sad. Will they go out to L.A. to see her? Please tell me yes! *sniffles* This was fantastic. I love that so much was packed into small packages. It was like we got to unwrap bits of the story one by one. I'm upset that you're splitting up the Triumvirate, but what can I do?
Besides persuade you to bring them (and Connor) to L.A. in a sequel, I mean...
Right after I wrote this I had all these ideas for a sequal, with House in L.A being all holywtf... but then it kinda died. So. Maybe there will be more, maybe not. Depends on if I watch more Angel anytime soon, methinks.
Well, if you're at all interested, there's still the drabbleswap at my journal. I have a list of characters I'd personally like to see written for me. Someone already wrote House and River meeting, which was awesome. *squees* Care to partake? The signup post and entry post are public entries and they both should give you an idea of what it's about.
I'll consider it, definitely, but probably not until after I've finished my cuddy_fest. I'm trying not to let myself write anything until those are done. But I'll check it out, for sure. :)
First, thank you very much for the summary of Illyria from your last post! It helped me understand her a little bit more, especially the part when she tells Cuddy her presence wasn't wasted. She really DID come a long way from her Holier Than Thou attitude you wrote about in the summary. It added the extra sadness when she decided to let go
( ... )
No problem at all! Any day I get to rant about fandom is a good day. :)
I love Cuddy's morals. She's so... good, and yet without being righteous or condescending. She's willing to admit she's wrong, and she's willing to do whatever it takes to help people. She doesn't get distracted by the fine print, you know? And I just love her for it.
As for the sequel (which I'm almost positive I won't write), I was thinking about House finding Cuddy in L.A. Because obviously he wouldn't just let her go without answers, and he does have this knack for following her every move. *g* So. It would probably be another Angelverse type thing, but with the addition of a very confused/bitter House and a (semi-jealous?) Angel. And a very entertained Spike. ^^
... you definitely didn't need to know all that. And I'm going to stop talking, before I ramble myself into a corner. Again.
Anyway. I'm glad you liked it! Thanks so much for reading. :)
Ugh god. This is definitely one of my top 5 favourite stories. The characterization, the plot, EVERYTHING: They're so wonderful! It's hard finding good fics these days, and you've definitely just made my day.
But still, I'm sad. The Dean of Medicine isn't coming back? Poor House, poor Wilson, poor hospital! But mostly; House. Please, you have GOT to continue this. I mean, what the hell?! This is such an awesome fic, and I'm sure everyone would love to see a sequel!
Thank you so much! I'm very glad that you liked it :)
I don't know what my schedule/inspriation's gonna look like in the coming months, but I'm definitely considering a sequel. I feel like, there's no way House would just let that go. He'd go find her. ^^
Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed it! The Buffy/Angel-verse are definitely on my favorite shows list as well.
I've been thinking about it. I'd love to write a sequel, but I'm still really not sure how it'd work out, exactly. But, it's definitely in the In Progress folder ^^
Sigh. This is so lovely. I'm not sure why I haven't told you this before. I came back for a re-read because I needed to make sure I was not plagiarising you in my cuddy_fest story (only really really slightly *facepalm*) which I really need to finish now, and EEE, I love this so much. The hopelessness of the end is so perfectly Angel. I love Spike and Angel and Illyria and Cuddy with them. Awesome.
It's the same damn thing I've been writing since... forever. It's been on hold at the last leg, and it needs doing now. I'll show it, I promise, because it's incoherent and crazy, but I'd need to finish it *first* because otherwise it won't make any sense.

Any chance of a follow up? I would love to see a House/Cuddy confrontation a few after she's really trained up (new powers and healing ones).
