Wow, that was beautiful. It was amazing how you made the characters spiral around each other, gracefully unaware of how their would be intertwined if that guy in a coma wasn't. The effect is haunting. You did a marvelous job.
House really is a unifying force in all their lives. Many of them would probably still know each other, but not with the same intensity that he brings to every relationship.
Oh wow, it's so delicate and pretty yet at the same time it's awfully depressing. I'd always thought that without House the diagnostics department wouldn't even exist.
I'd be really interested to know how the department got started -- whether it was something Cuddy hired him for specifically, or something he prodded her to create.

I am not sure if Cuddy created the department for him just so she would have the best diagnostian on staff, or just because she had so much guilt over his leg that he could manipulate her into giving him a job.
