I really enjoyed this! I love fics where Luke's moved on and is making his own way in the world.

He also learned how to hide a body after one time the innocent kid routine got a little too real and scary for him.
Aw, this made my heart break for him. Poor kid!

It's pretty refreshing to see this in a fic. In RL, I think it's something that a lot of teenagers who get into relationships with older people might think when they look back on it, as much as they might have wanted it at the time. We see so many future fics where Luke is still head over heels for Sylar, and even though, in this, he still wants Sylar and gives in, I like Luke's acknowledgement that Sylar took advantage of him.

Thanks! I was so nervous posting this because everyone who has responded to this challenge has completely wowed me. But it's really great to see that someone out there liked this.

As for the 17 thing, it is true. It'd be really intresting to see Luke's thoughts about the time he spent with Sylar when he's a little more in tune with the real world.

I'm with perdiccas, I loved seeing how Luke had moved on with his life and matured.

And as it turns out, Luke learned he hadn’t changed nearly as much as he hoped he had in that two years and six months.

“I don’t want you,” - I love seeing Luke say that. Sylar being egotistical and still believing the world revolves around him. Even if Luke does still want him, Sylar just isn’t the end all be all. And, looking back from 19/20 to when you were 17… yeah, a lot of things change.

I really, really love the concise way you played up a one shot. Every word feels powerful, like it belongs and the story would be lacking without it. I bow to concise!

This is flat out fantastic, thank you thank you for sharing!

oh Luke, were you hoping for some grand revelation of how much you've changed? I can certainly relate to that.
