Margie understood the whole brother dilemma, seeing as how she had only had them to amuse her as well! They were fun for the first little bit, but after a while they really started to get annoying. Not that she would tell them that but she thought about it.
So after a few goodbyes, she quickly Flooed over the Esme's hoping that nothing would go wrong.
And when she came out the other side and landed on her face, well she really hoped that she was in the right place. Coughing a little, she got up and smiled brightly once she caught sight of Esme, "Hi!"
There was a bit of a blush on her cheeks from having fallen flat on her face, but it wasn't too bad. Or that bad compared to what some of her blushes looked like.
Esme laughed a little at her friend's less than graceful exit out of the Floo. "Wow, you look almost as good as me at Floo travel!" she teased her gently.
Giving Margie a hand up, Esme cast a quick cleaning charm to remove the worst of the soot. "I do so love being able to do magic out of school." she remarked happily. "I think I need to practise that one though!" she said, looking at the traces of soot still on her friend. "Cleaning charms are not my forte, obviously."
Smiling widely and grabbing her friend's hand, Esme dragged her behind her into their kitchen. "Would you like a drink?" she offered, remembering her manners. Her mother was very particular about always offering guests some refreshment.
"Just like a ballerina I bet," Margie laughed a little, a blush still appearing on her cheeks. But she smiled thankfully as Esme helped her up, looking down at the soot on her clothes.
Well her cleaning charm took care of more than hers would have, that was certain.
"Oh no it's wonderful don't worry! Much better than before," she said quickly and smiling at her friend, realizing how much she had missed being around girls yet again.
Looking around Esme's house, she smiled a little and then shook her head when offered a drink. "I'm fine, thank you though! How have you been?"
Esme was grinning hugely. Being with friends always made her ridiculously happy and she hadn't seen Margie in AGES! Fidgeting a little (being excited always made her absolutely incapable of standing still like a normal person), Esme dragged Margie off once again, talking as she did so. "Let's go to my room then - we won't be disturbed by my pesky brothers and I like to show it off."
As they walked, Esme answered Margie's question. "Oh I'm fine! Been hanging around in Diagon Alley loads and have bumped into loads of other Hogwarts people!" Esme beamed as if this was some great surprise. "And of course I've been flying and stuff. Relaxing, mainly. How about you?"
As they entered Esme's room, she finally stopped towing Margie and spun around in a circle. Her room was a cheerful yellow with a huge bed and posters and wizarding photos all over the walls. It just radiated cheerfulness and always made Esme smile to walk into it.
