An empty common room was not something that Ming was used to. After all, this was the Ravenclaw common room, and almost every other people there were tempted to study every minute of the day. Or so it seemed to him. He, however, had not actually picked up a book meant for school ever since the school year had started. He had read his fair share of comic books, gone through his guitar guidebooks at least twice, and of course, occasionally scribbled a few words in his own journal. Not that any of that would count towards his grades, anyway.
Sitting on one of the armchairs, Ming whistled a Muggle tune that his mother had always hummed while she did her knitting, and then stopped abruptly when he caught himself. Nay, that was such a softie thing to do. Shaking his head at himself irritably, he stood up and paced the common room. Whatever could he do??!! Go to bed? Way too early. Study? No way!
He paced the room, clucking his tongue loudly everytime a ridiculous idea entered his head and was so lost in thought that he didn't realize that someone he wasn't alone anymore.
