Avery seldom found her way to this part of the library. In her opinion, it was dark, secluded and creepy. Of course, many valuable and interesting and great books were stored here, but they were here for a reason.
She reckoned the Restriction Section wasn't named so for nothing. Maybe one day she would find out why exactly, if she spent enough time in that area, but today, she wasn't there to study. Looking around her at all the books, of different shapes, sizes and colours, she had to resist the urge to walk down each aisle and analyze the different make of each book, the contents within.
She chose a table near the shelf simply labled "Plants", and dropped her book bag on a chair, still standing and taking in her surrounding. On this particular day, noone else was around, which she was grateful for. Instead of taking a seat and waiting for her... guest to arrive, Avery walked towards the book shelf, tilting her head sideways a little so that she could see what was on the spine of each book. Her fingers followed her gaze until they stopped at one old-looking book with an italic title. Flesh Eating Plants in the Tropics. She frowned at the book and removed her hand instantly, as if afraid the book would come to life and attack her outstretch hand.
Stealing one last look at the books, Avery walked back to her chosen table, sat down and reached into her bag, pulling out her reading material of the week: Jane Eyre. She had read this one a few times already, but still she liked its simplicity and style. She leaned back, flipped to the first page and waited.
