Dragons.

Fecking dragons.

No, no, this... this was brilliant! Positively, fecking amazing!  You see, there was this tree that Illiad loved-- positively adored. In his mind, he called it his 'Study' Tree because ( Read more... )

Lissianna looked up from her book in surprise at Illiads outburst. She had grown more used to her 'partner' over time, and found him somewhat amusing now. Still his outburst surprised Lissianna, and she placed a bookmark in the book she was reading before she gave her attention to the 6th year.

"Err, Illiad, what on earth are you talking about?"

Besides, the boy had mentioned DRAGONS! Lissianna looooooved Dragons. They were one of her favorite magical creatures to study on--well besides Unicorns that is, so the mention of dragons had caught her attention.

Oh, that was right. Lissianna was there. While they were no longer restricted to being partners, Illiad had grown very used to the girls prescense and while he had previously disliked her immensely, could now say that she was tolerable.

Which was a compliment to Lissianna, coming from him, as more than 3/4's of Illiad's own family had not yet achieved that status.

"The dragons, under the tree?" Illiad said, arching his eyebrows and striding over to sit at her side. "Under my tree? They're out there, which means we can't go out, and all I want to do is go out and get some fresh air," he was probably making very little sense at all.

"You see, our dungeon? It stifles me. And my one grace was getting to go sit out under that tree every night. But now, Lissi," he even called her by her first name! "There is a fecking dragon underneath the tree!"

Crazy.

Lissianna frowned. Dragons.....dragons.....oh she longed to go take a close look at them, but nooo, they weren't allowed. This depressed her. She loved magical creatures and dragons were at the top of the list.

At the mention of them being under 'his' tree. Lissianna's mouth made an 'o' of surprise. If his need for his tree was as severe as his need for the library, then he must be having a seizure right now.

"I'm sorry Illiad, is there any other place you could go?"

Illiad tapped his fingers along the end of the bench non-stop. Stupid dragon! He thought he might be okay for a couple days-- thought he could deal with the lack of air for now, but it was turning out to be very, very hard. He just needed to get out of the castle, to breathe.

He wondered if it was hard for Lissianna as well. She wanted to be a magical vet, didn't she? And here there were these magnificent beings, these dragons. They wouldn't be an intrusion to her, but a gift. A gift she couldn't know.

"You want to touch them, don't you?" He asked in his quite, little voice he usually reserved for the library.
