Chen hummed a quiet song to himself as he ran a hand through his hair. His other hand lay peacefully on the book in front of him. Wasn't too thrilling, as he already forgot the title of it, and what the contents ( Read more... )

DRAGONS! That's all Peter had been thinking about lately. Dragons, dragons and more dragons! It was KILLING HIM that he couldn't go outside, because that would be soooooo cool to see them!

Plus he hated staying indoors. It was SO BORING.

But never fear, he was finding something to do! Actually he was trying to find a book about dragons, and flying, and super secret entrances that would help him go outside. And therefore see the dragons! COOL.

Though Peter's attention got distracted by a yellow ribbon and watching it become a little web. HEY HE KNEW THAT! His sister liked to do that. A bit girly but he knew it! And it was Chen! Someone to talk to!

"Which one are you doing? Where did you get the ribbon? Can I try?" Peter said, as he bounced into the seat next to Chen and grinned at him. Why waste time saying hello?

Chen hadn't really been paying attention in the first place, for he was a bit too busy flaunting his girly wardrobe. He was quite proud of it himself. Then he heard that strange bouncing that he'd occasionally heard from time to time.

Then his stomach wrenched.

His eyes narrowed and turned towards the hyperactive Gryffindor, his innards melting as he did so. His fingers stopped lifelessly in place and he continued his stare (and/or glare) rather woefully.

"I'm not doing anything, first of all. This ribbon is mine, and lastly.. Of course you can't 'try'.. You'd only fail at it, anyway..."

With that, he turned away just the slightest, hoping the boy would go away. Though the company was nice, it wasn't quite the company Chen had been hoping for. But then again, Peter's grin sort of melted his heart in the best sense. He was so cute! But Chen refused display such affection on such an annoying Gryffindor boy.

Well unfortunately, or fortunately, for Chen, Peter was QUITE oblivious to any kind of hostility. Everyone was just best friends, even best friends got in fights sometimes, right? Right! See he and Mae had gotten in a fight, but now they were all better! So it didn't really even matter ( ... )

Ugh. Was this really happening?

Chen rolled his eyes and gave an irritated sigh. He shrunk away as he noticed Peter staring at his ribbon with wide eyes. The last thing he wanted was to share such a pretty ribbon with him. THAT was too much to ask of him.

"Oh right, you Gryffindors and your Quid--" suddenly, he shrank back violently as Peter's arm came flying in front of his face. That was too close. Didn't this boy know that Chen's beautiful face could have been injured?

"String? This isn't something you use string with... Your fingers will get all caught up and they won't be too comfortable.." Then Chen's eyes widened as the boy put his foot on the table. He was about to get up and run just then, but something about the boy made him stay where he was.

But then again, the LAST thing he wanted to do was teach this sorry boy how to make such a complex design with ribbon.
