Esme was sitting on her bed, legs crossed and rocking back and forth impatiently. Lexi was back and Esme was waiting to pounce! She'd hardly had a chance to speak to her friend since her return and she was impatient to gossip and chat and catch up and do all those things that girls do best. Surely Lexi must be coming upstairs to bed soon! Esme had gone up early especially so that she could catch her friend before she feel asleep for the night. Bouncing a little on her bed, Esme decided to lean over and rummage in her friend's drawer to see if she had any chocolate frogs because she herself had eaten all of hers weeks ago.... but Lex might have some! It was the organised, saving kind of thing that her friend would do, thought Esme affectionately.
