Maxie enetered the library for perhaps only the third time in her life at Hogwarts. She was uneasy, she had never trusted books. Glancing to and fro, she walked through stacks with her back rigid and muscles poised, as if expecting an attack from a hardcover edition of Numerology and GramaticaDamn books. She just wanted to get in, grab what she was looking for and get out. That was when she heard the voice. Oh my god. The books knew she was here. They'd attack any second

Merlin had never heard of a person prancing around the library pantsless...and definitely not just sitting amongst the shelves massaging their foot pantsless. Other types of... no, no, he'd really not go there. He'd simply laugh nervously and tug at his trousers in response.
"Aye! S'pose you could say 'tis a party fer one. Me pants are on, as ye can see," Merlin answered with a grin and patted the ground beside him.
"Party fer two sounds better. Bring anyt'ing t'drink er... eat?" he asked with not much hope, glancing down at his rumbling, angry stomach. At the sound of Merlin's rumbling stomach, Maxie fished around in the front of her robes. "I've got, les' see, half a chocolate frog? Ooh, bit melted though." She handed the Gryffindor the wrapper which encased the delicious sweet. "That's all, sor- oh that's right!" She reached down into the sock on her left foot and pulled out a small packet of Droobles.
