A calm Fi was a good Fi.

And whereever that Fi was, Louvika Hawkins didn't know, but she hoped that she was, indeed, calm again. For some reason, the shock of her final dormmate lying dead on the ( Read more... )

A grumbling pair of boys chasing their flying textbooks passed Andy on his way downstairs. He lifted an eyebrow in surprise. Every now and again, magic still managed to take him off guard. He often wondered if there would ever be a day when it wouldn't. He kind of hoped not. It was nice having a constant surprise waiting for him.

Entering the Common Room he was happy to see Louvika reading on one of the sofas. He hadn't talked to her since before the murders. He'd tried but she'd been busy with Fi or any number of younger students looking for comfort. Andy smiled and was suddenly reminded about how decent a person Lou really was. He was lucky to be friends with her.

And yet, you do nothing but lie to her.

"Hey pretty girl," he cooed, sitting down on the couch opposite, "killer rack you've got on display there." Now that wasn't a lie. It was just wasted all on Andy.

Lou didn't even look up from her book.

"Yeah, I know," she said, drearily. She did like her rack. It was very nice, and in her opinion, far better than the racks of most at Hogwarts (except, perhaps, McGonagall. Woman knew how to work the tartan!). And the fact that Seth complimented it every time-- oh wait. It wasn't Seth. No Irish accent.

"Annndy!" excitedment flared into her eyes and she realized who it was. Andy was different from Seth in the fact that Seth had already been caught. She could get attention from him whenever she wanted! But Andy was different, and therefore required different responses. Sir Buckinghame Whatever-His-Name and his highly illict (if not exciting!) activities could wait. She depoisted the bodice ripper on the side of the sofa and lept up to go sit on his lap, the silk of the night dress showing off her features as she swung her legs over the side of his sofa. "How's my kitten?" she asked him, ruffling his hair.

Of course, even as she did this, the words of Brinley Watson were echoing in her mind. 'He ( ... )

Andy grinned as it took her a few seconds to realise it was him. He didn't know who she thought he was but he always enjoyed the greetings she gave him. Made him feel loved. In fact, he knew he was loved whenever he was around Lou. None of his other friend's showed him nearly as much affection as she did.

It was nice to feel loved.

"I'm good, now that I have you on my lap," he grinned and hugged her tightly. "Just so you know, I love you, okay? You're a great friend to everyone and you're just awesome." He sounded particularly American at that point. Not that he had ever lost his accent but he had always tried to sound less American than he was. The trick was to use as much British lingo as you could.

"I would have died if one of those people were you yesterday." Ah yes, the murders. Couldn't avoid it for long, it was what everyone was talking about. "How are you dealing? I know that one of them was your roommate..."

Lou almost purred as she was hugged, and kept a warm hand still in his hair. "Awsh, kitty," she murmured, before kissing him on the cheek. "I love you too, you know?" She figured that it was merely the deaths of the classmates that made him so willing to tell her that he loved her-- it had been the same way right after Jenna had died. Lou had informed Fi that she was most certainly not allowed to die, and if she did, Lou would be most disapointed in her ( ... )
