Amabel hadn't paid much attention to the girl that had gone missing. To be quite frank, she hadn't paid any attention to the girl. She didn't know the girl, nor did she want to know the girl. Ah yes, the perks of coming into being a Slytherin: you hate the Gryffindors and everything they stand for.

Except for Peter. He was the one Gryffindor Mae couldn't dislike because he was fun and he didn't talk about the war or silly grown-up problems like that. But when she came into the Great Hall and heard her name echoing through it already from Peter, she almost wanted to run away or pretend someone had cast a spell on her that wouldn't let her hear anything - a sort of 'Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil,' except applying to everything in life and not just evil.

Mae couldn't resist going on an adventure though. So long as she wouldn't get dirty, she would actually enjoy it. "Of course," Mae said, rather hesistantly and not as excitedly as Peter. But she was forgetting her reassuring smile but soon remember it.
