Morning.

It was too early for anything sane to be happening.

Mornings were GREAT!!

Or at least were great in Peter's opinion.

He was a rocket from the moment his eyes opened and so by the time that he had made it down to the Great Hall he was a bouncing machine.

A bouncing machine with a frog. Or a toad. Depending on what he felt like calling it.

But no matter, right now he was plopping himself down at the table and starting to pile his food up. While keeping a hand on Yip Yap. It was hard though, especially when he went to go pour his juice and ended up tipping over his cup. Which caused his hand to get off the frog. And the frog to go jumping down the table.

"YIP YAP! YIP YAP COME HEEERRREEE!! JUST GRAB HIM!" He yelled out, laughing and running after the frog, always managing to just miss him.

Lou knew it was going to happen before it did, but as it was morning, her reflexes were all the slower. At least she had time to shut her eyes before the frog lept up and into the marmalade sitting before her. It splattered all over her face and the front of her robes, adding a nice orange shade to the brown of the coffee ( ... )

Peter came to a rushed stop right in front of Lou, smiling as he saw that she was holding Yip Yap. That stupid frog always seemed to want to get away! What a loon.

She shouldn't worry about making Peter cry, it was a very hard feat seeing as how he was mostly oblivious to anyone being mad at him unless they caused him physical harm. Or told it to his face. At any rate Lou was far from that when he took his frog back and his eyes lit up at the sound of a leash, "A leash! That's brilliant! Maybe with bells too."

He looked down at his pet and held him in his hands, "Yip Yap! I got him all by myself-"

Of course at that moment Yip Yap managed to jump right out of his hands, being a bit slippery from running through all that food and right into someone passing them by.

Rae was not at all amused when something alive and slippery jumped right onto her, leaving multi-colored stains all over her clean white shirt. In the morning of the first day no less and even before she could get a bite to eat.

Her mood wasn't even improved when she looked down and spotted that it was some frog...and not just any frog but apparently a younger Gryffindor's frog. No doubt some filthy mudblood at that.

Taking out her wand, she muttered a quick cleaning charm so that her shirt was fixed before turning it onto the frog itself. Rae watched as it floated up into the air and then turned to look at the Gryffindors, "Is this thing yours?"
