Hargreaves was not in the mood for humouring small boys. he was in hurry to return to the Slytherin Common Room after a professor had annoyingly roped him into taking a message to someone after lunch. He didn't have time for foolish errands such as that and as such was in a testy mood. Spying Peter blocking his way, he gave a sigh of aggravation. Why must these annoyances always seem to flock to him?
However, this squirt looked small and easily scareable, and Hargreaves was confident in his own ability to indimidate young Gryffindors. "You. Move out of my way, if you please. I am in a hurry." This was stated sternly, and he then folded his arms across his chest and prepared for Peter to move humbly aside. For surely he would?
Ah but Peter wasn't your normal young Gryffindor. Oh no, no, no. The only time he had really gotten a hint that someone hated him was when that one Slytherin had hung him upside-down over a fire and burned some of his hair. But he still was bouncing around thinking everyone else loved him.
So that would be why he just looked up at Hargreaves and grinned while shaking his head. "You have to say the answer the questions and then say the magic word! Or else."
He tried to give his best stern appearance for a few seconds before breaking out into a grin again and he jumped up so that he was standing bouncing a bit on his toes. "Ready? Ready? Ready?"
Hargreaves raised on eyebrow at the irrepressible young Lion. This was unexpected. A small boy who wasn't terrified by Hargreaves? This slightly damaging to his pride, and certainly not pleasing to him at all.
"No, you little idiot, I am not ready and never will be. I will excuse your rudeness just this once, but take care in future. I do not like to be held up and you should perhaps think about having more respect for your elders and betters." Hargreaves smiled thinly. He was channelling his father and hoped that it would have the desired effect on Peter.
Moving down the stairs towards Peter, Hargreaves fully intended to just keep walking - going through the boy if necessary!
Peter just looked up at him expectantly, thinking that this was some game and he was just acting annoyed. He did that with his little sister. Yes he was very in the know! And he could prove it now too!!!
Obviously the fact that he was a Slytherin didn't do anything to Peter either. Unfortunately he was one of those who didn't really get the whole feud, though there was that fight with Mae...but he fortunately seemed to forget about that a lot.
"Say the password and I'll let you go! No ifs, ands or buts mister!" He said in his best big kid voice though he was still bouncing around like the 13 year old boy that he was.
